Yep, the news reporters will call floor traders to see what's up, they get the story from the mothers, then it becomes a self-fulling prophecy. I discovered it when I traded oil futures some years ago, floor traders are as crooked as they come. I guess it's not illegal, so maybe as devious as they come. Gotta learn to follow their trade, that's where the money is. :)
