2004 Licensing Round

The 2004 JDZ Licensing Round is based on an open competitive tender with applications evaluated on the basis of standard technical and commercial criteria. The Licensing Round is the second international competitive bidding round arranged by the Joint Development Authority, and follows a period of consultation with industry. Industry activity in neighbouring Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea has been significant, and recent multi-client 2D and 3D seismic data acquired within the JDZ suggests that similar levels of activity are warranted here.

The 2004 JDZ Licensing Round was officially announced on the 15th November 2004 and will remain open until 15th December 2004. Applications are to be submitted no later than 15th December 2004, with bids to be delivered to the Head Office of the JDA in Abuja, or the liaison office in São Tomé, at or before 12.00 hours of that day.
