When I deposit a check in scottrade it's usually ready by the end of trading day. U can use unsettled funds to buy but u can't sell till they settle. At least that is how I did it. I never wait 3 days. U should call and tell them u want to buy as soon as the funds hit ur account and not wait till they settle. Also About Keeping Shareholders Informed Did Isrg Updated Their shareholders with pr's about Xi or Sd. They were in the works for years and no one knew nothing. Just saying.
