East coast...20 minutes outside of Washington DC. Sounds like you had a great time. We got a big snow storm this year (that only lasted a day and a half because it warmed up right after!! That's the kind I like!) and I made one measly little snowman that Buddy was fine with...until I got the eyes in and then he was afraid of it!
It was so funny...he was standing right there beside me when I was building it...and when I put the rocks in and gave him eyes Buddys' eyes got real big and his hair went up on his back and he started barking and backing up...what a simpleton!
