Alexander Scheltema – Chief Operations Officer, Vice President, as well as Director

Mr. Alexander Scheltema was a co-founder of Greenscape Laboratories in October 2012.

Previous to his involvement in Greenscape Laboratories, Alexander Scheltema majored in biology at University of Maryland, in Baltimore. In 2009, Alexander worked at Fort Deitrich in Frederick, MD as a laboratory technician and assistant to Mary Kearney and Dr. John Coffin, where he sequenced and analyzed AIDS samples to determine progress and effects made by various drug therapies in sync with patient samples from the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Additionally, he performed PCR (DNA replication), DNA purification, and analyzed lab results using lab-specific computational software, sequenced AIDS genome from surviving molecules before and after therapy, and helped in analysis of concentration of AIDS retrovirons in samples, particularly following specific therapy regimens.
Mr. Alexander Scheltema also performed all lab-related cleaning practices associated with hazardous waste management (i.e., autoclaving, aseptic techniques, etc.), organized and archived all lab samples by sequence order and patient name, and gained further insight into bioinformatics and genetics along with genetic sequencing. Additional to his training in the workplace in biological studies and analysis, he attended a biotechnology tech magnet program for his final two years of high school, granting him valuable practice in: Micropipetting, Blood-typing, Chromatography (Column, TLC, and SEC), DNA fingerprinting, Electrophoresis, Inoculation and Streaking of Bacteria, Aseptic Technique, Cellular and Genetic Transformation, Spectrophotometry, Bradford Assay, DNA and RNA Purification, Western Blot, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR [both forward and reverse-transcript "RT-PCR"]), Electroporation, and a variety of other commonly used testing procedures employed in biogenetics labs across the nation.

In August 2011, Mr. Alexander Scheltema began work for Hemp Inc., f/k/a Marijuana, Inc. (a Pink Sheets company), aiding in company research, writing press releases, and structuring various company documents including the formation of various subsidiaries owned by HEMP through September 2012. This was his first experience in working directly for a publicly traded company and pinksheet stock company. After leaving Hemp, Inc., in September 2012, he worked at Pine Orchard Wine and Liquors in Ellicott City, MD, while in college from September 2012 through May 2013 as a sales clerk. Subsequently, Mr. Alexander Scheltema worked at Media Corp., in a similar capacity as HEMP, working for that company’s President, as a personal assistant, from May 2013 through August 2013. Upon returning to Florida, Mr. Alexander Scheltema began working at Small Cap Development, Inc. as lead marketer and clerk, where he has worked since October 2013.

Mr. Alexander Scheltema’s extensive involvement with laboratory processes and methodologies and his hands-on experience with high-tech laboratory machinery led the Board to conclude that he had the experience, qualifications, and skills to serve as a director of the Company.
