Why not? Pfizer kept selling Lipitor after generics came to market, still sell it, made $2.3B from it in 2013 (generics came in 2011), and now they're taking a crack at low dose OTC Lipitor, which should get shot down - liver risks way to high IMO for OTC sales, plus every statin that's applied for OTC status with FDA has been denied:
