This clip is approximately 9 months old. The coverage from San Diego more than likely is as a result of two things. First of all San Diego is the city where the demonstration occured as Palmdale is only about an hour and a half away.
However, more significantly I believe that Sanswire chose San Diego rather than some obscure city in the greater Los Angeles area (which is about the same distance away) for who resides in operations in San Diego. LM operates SPAWR in San Diego. The plant is right along I-5 just after MCRD (Marine Corps Recruit Depot) and the air port. SPAWR was one of the attendees invited a little less than a year ago to the technology demonstration for Sanswire just after Huff really became active with the company.
I am not implying any knowledge other than what is public, but when I originally saw the clip some time ago I immediately made this connection.
FYI. SPAWR is the R&D arm of LM that deals with orbital aircraft for the Pentagon.
