#26659 RE: RobinF #26650

RobinF, sts; The Kowa/ Amarin deal has been going on for months. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one. Companies take weeks and weeks of talks and preparation for deals like this to come off. The advertisement itself also has a lead time. What's fantastic is the spokesman Kurt Warner and his wife. This couple is very well respected in AZ (AZ Cardinals & St Louis Rams, Superbowl MVP twice!!). It's amazing what a sports figure can do for your image. The Warners have a very good following around the country and are very religious, which a lot of folks can relate to. Very positive for Kowa to get the Warner's involved with this partnership.

It just struck me as coincidental that the words "Supportive Resources" and the statins comment were used in the same paragragh. I don't know, call it a hunch. That's why most of us are here isn't it, a hunch?

Kowa has been around for over 100 years, they are no one's fool.
The fact that Kowa has Livalo (Pitvastatin) and is willing to do a deal with Vascepa, albeit at Kowa's expense speaks volumes. The psychology Kowa is putting on the street say's "hey we understand the limitations and the side effects of statins" we want to help those who suffer from these side effects and at the same time give folks alternative therapies which will enrich their lives."

I'm taking a page from BioBills book. Makes pefect sense to me. Sure Kowa is taking a chance with Vascepa, you bet. But, they are willing to take that risk, without a little risk where is there spice in life? A company who sells a statin is finally seeing the benefits of combining Vascepa with their product as an alternative to anything out there. AZN, GSK, PFE better get on board or be left at the station. Kowa is all about taking market share from these "Big boys"
