What benefit would the company gain from not letting the stock go up? If they are diluting shares, I would think that they would want the price up to make more money.. I think other factors are working on the share price.. Hundred of millions of dollars are on the line, would you not do everything you could, to keep someone out of your pocket.. Instead of buying a company just break them.....
