06:22 AM EDT, 04/14/2014 (MT Newswires) -- Healthcare company Novo Nordisk(NVO) on Monday said it has begun a share buyback program in accordance with the "Safe Harbour" rules and a part of the 12-month program of repurchasing up to DKK 15 billion in shares.

NVO American Depositary Receipts were down nearly 2% in recent pre-market trading on Monday. They closed down to $42.67 Friday regular hours.
