Addax is majority owned by Addax and Oryx which is privately held. Sure, they could buy shares on the open market but they still wouldn't have majority control.
We all know XOM has more money than God. The question is, do they want to buyout Addax and Oryx and get rid of the business segments they do not wish to be in?
