I find is tremendously unfair if we were used to test other systems without the Army placing a few orders first. It is like someone who has already taken a test drive and likes a car, but instead of buying the car now, wants to borrow it from the dealership to test a new radio or navigation device on the car. Come on! Let's not mince words here. If you want to do you that, buy the car first then test whatever you want on it. Whether you want this radio or that navigation device, that can always come as future purchase options, can't it? We have already moded the car for you at our expense, haven't we? Going further than that is surely bending over too much?

I mean the army has trillions to spend (albeit having budget cuts), and should not be taking advantage of a small, not yet profitable company to do its testing without first buying its own units for use. Really that smacks of taking advantage.

Is it just me who feels this way?

A good sales manager would step in and close the deal first before this gets out of hand. Do you or do you not want the car? Do you have money to purchase the car? How about you place an order with us first and leave an upfront deposit, and then we can check out the radio and navigation device options you want to put on it, and whether you want that other features upgrade. The reason for putting down the deposit and ordering now is that we need some time to build the car and get your new car to you.

To wait for another 4-5 months for the customer to decide on buying the units just due deciding what options should go in it seems like luxury we cannot afford.
