Projections made immediately after 3/14/2003 settlement regarding Nokia, Samsung and Sony/Ericsson royalties were based on handset growth rates of 5% to 10% culled from a variety of industry sources.

Global handset grew 16% in the March quarter and the December quarter typically accounts for 30%+ of industry sales. Some upside appears to be baked into the numbers.
