It's to be expected. There will be days the pps will close below the open as well even as the price trends upward. For every day the price closes higher that becomes more likely. I am cautious of constant rises in pps because the inevitable intermittent retractions can be expected to be more dramatic if the recent interest isn't solid and is prone to panic. However, it is an exceptionally positive sign that the pps dropped almost 20% during the session and still closed higher. It seems that the short term traders are being shaken out fairly quickly.
