5par, I hope you don't mind, but I also contacted Dutton separately on the plagiarism issue. You get all the credit. Here is their response:

Dear Mr. xxxxx,

Thank you for alerting us to what appeared to be a case of plagiarism in
the Wave report. I was especially surprised because the analyst, David
Soetebier, is a particularly experienced and reliable analyst. When I
contacted Dave about the Schoen article, he indicated that he had not read
the article and referred me to the attached Wikipedia entry. Dave thought
the entry was the best concise treatment of the subject that he had found.
As he considers Wikipedia entries in the public domain, he felt it
unnecessary to give attribution to the information although he obviously
relied upon it a great deal.

Although I understand the analyst's point of view on this matter, I believe
a recognition of source is still appropriate. The report will be revised
on the website before the end of the week, with Wikipedia cited as the
source.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you believe the matter requires
further attention.
