Keep us posted on your Rydex activities. It's a very intriguing potential that many of us have dreamed about. I'm only using the bullish side of the enhanced index funds. I use a high yield bond fund for the "dark side."
Hi, Tom,
I've been using the URPIX Profunds Ultra Bear Fund and what I've found with it is that it acts as a good ballast to everything else, moderating the up-and-down's of the market. My holding is about 9.6% of the total portfolio, with 21% cash reserve total, giving a slightly over 30% portion either cash neutral or working "against" the equity side. I AIM this one by itself so that the 'dampening' influence doesn't affect the rest of the holdings. $16.22 is the next buy price and it jumped up nicely last night so it's thinking about a buy, but not too hard just yet. If the market rallies I may get that buy order but so far it seems like a useful position to have.
Best,
AIMster
