Hey Big.. I love it... someone that has ideas on the same page I do. Usually I get a lot of resistance on the subject.

I am on the fence with the V-8 clause...years ago it was if you put a V-8 in it as a manufacturer...then that is what you run at the race track. IF Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Dodge only puts V-8s in trucks...then the V-8 is run in the trucks. If the Challanger, Camaro, Mustang have V-8s in the showroom, then so be it...if Toyota only throws a V-6 in the the Camry... oh well, fix it or get out. No different in Cup. Again, to say it again...we don't need 900+ horses either.

The night races... I think there need to be few...not 8...less than 4 is good for a year.

The 1.5 mile $#it tracks need to be cut in half. Incorporate more Bristol, Wilkesboro, Martinsville, Richmond, Rockingham style tracks...totally agree with you.

My example is this... I enjoy watching the BTCS (British Touring Championship Series) over the summer. They run SHOWROOM STOCK M3/M5, Audis, Ford Falcons (used to be...something else now), Saab, Volvo, etc... I know they're foreign, but the only thing teams are allowed is to install the safety features required for the drivers (roll cages, racing seats, 5pt harnesses, etc..), and install the necessary racing components for the suspension to handle the loads and maintain reliability. It is some fun stuff to watch for me...BECAUSE I see those cars in the showroom/on the street and say to myself...'..damn, I could buy it today and race it tomorrow..' Those race cars are >70% stock. Again, its the premise and idea I am of racing...not the foreign side of this... I am not a foreign car fan.

Anyway...Big...sorry went on a bit of a tangent there... but I completly agree...they need to go back 25 years and press the reset button.
