Mr. Robert Gowans, Rob serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of VoIPshield Systems, Inc. Mr. Gowans served as Chief Executive Officer of Virtugo Software, Inc. (formerly UXComm Inc.). He served as Vice President, Sales and New Business Development of CUI Global, Inc. (formerly, Onscreen Technologies Inc.) from November 2005 to September 2007. He has more than 20 years of senior executive experience working with public, private and early-stage technology and telecommunications companies. Previously, he spent nine months as Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at OVP Venture Partners, where he worked with the General Partners in identifying and distilling new strategies and new ideas. Prior to OVP, Mr. Gowans served as the Chief Executive Officer of iVox Networks, a southern California based start up that developed an Optical Media Exchange OC3 platform for the carrier / large enterprise market. Prior to iVox, Mr. Gowans served as a Division Vice President/Group Director of Service Provider Systems at Intel Communications Group. He joined Intel from Interactive Media Group (Canada) Ltd., where he served as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining IMG, Mr. Gowans served as Vice President of Network Services/Operations and was a founding partner of NetXchange Corporation. He was a founding partner of Tell Canada Telecommunications Inc., one of the largest enhanced services switchless resellers in Canada. He also served at CNCP Telecommunications/Unitel Communications Inc./AT&T Canada as a Management Consultant and as Director of Network Marketing. Mr. Gowans served as President and a founding partner of Teletech Systems Group and is also a founder of Gowans Research, a telecommunications consulting service. He served as a Director of Virtugo Software, Inc. (formerly UXComm Inc.).
