I do apologize if I am wrong here,
I am NOT talking about the record date... we know the record date is Tuesday 3/18...
I am talking about the ex-divy date.... but since the divy will hold more than 25% stake in Regen, the ex-divy date is NOT 2 days before. I read it to be 1 day AFTER the distribution? so no one can sell their shares of BMSN until 1 day AFTER they receive their Regen shares?
(Full disclosure, I have all the BMSN shares I can afford and plan to hold until after the Regen distribution anyway)
So, here's my example....
as of March 18 you have 1,000,000 shares of BMSN.
assume the distribution date of April 1.... I receive 6,083 shares of Regen on April 01.... (and still have my 1M BMSN shares)...
I sell my BMSN shares on April 02... all is good.
HOWEVER, if I sold my BMSN shares on 3/26... my REGEN shares go to the buyer of my BMSN shares because I was a shareholder of record as of 3/18, but sold before the ex-divy date and the divy follows the shares...
Am I understanding this correctly?
