Ranger,

You know the old saying, “be careful what you wish for……”

I believe Tom is not the first to call for Harry’s “resignation”. (heartland maybe?)

I have always been of the opinion that once he/idcc can get NOK settled, he would “retire” but only after a suitable replacement has been found. Please remember, the last time Harry came up for re-election, he was voted to stay.

Imo, the last thing that the company needs at this time is a nasty proxy battle trying to ouster the COB. Don’t be surprised if we see a “shareholder” proposal this year trying to get this accomplished.

One thing that the street hates worse than anything is uncertainty. Not having a COB is a biggie. If a proxy a battle comes up for his position, imo, it would get ugly and the share price would suffer greatly. remember what happened to the share price when HG and RIP “stepped down”? everyone was calling for their heads and when they left, the price took a big cut because of the uncertainly and even JP was quoted as saying the company couldn’t understand it because they thought everyone would be glad that they left. That old uncertainly thing again…..

A lot of people here get on their “soap boxes” claiming that it would be the best for the company but they don’t offer a replacement, just “let’s hang him from the yardarm”. It is easy from the “cheap seats” to be a “Monday morning quarterback” but unless you are in the trenches during the game, you have no idea what battles are taking place.
