LOL. You're still trying to define option expensing in terms of right and wrong. That's your problem not mine.

Corporate America started using options in the early 50s generally with the same accounting treatment that is used today. FASB wanted to change option accounting in the mid-90s as it became more popular because they were concerned about the perverse incentives it was creating, but politicians from both sides forced them to back off. Now FASB is in the process of implementing the rule change in early 2004.

By the way, you still haven't explained how you got your 40M and 60M numbers? Like I said, the math should be easy enough for you.
