From Liquid Metal Blog:

Glenton, A lot is being made of a Liquidmetal presentation being made to the public at the Engel USA headquarters in York, Pennsylvania in March. Couple of questions:

Since customers of Engel will be there and LQMT has a captive audience for the new turnkey system of the Engel I machine with the vacuum add-on attachment, why do you not just state in a PR that the LQMT-Engel IM machine is operational, has been approved for ISO certification, and is available for purchase by the customers attending the show.

Since Engel has already made a general announcement, why does LQMT not fill in the details:

The LQMT ENGEL machine will be on the floor of the show room, it will be operated by Engel technicians to show its viability to the attending customers of Engel.

Why is the company balking at finally stating with certainty, just what the purpose of LQMT being at the show is.

Anything less than a fully operational demonstation of a fully certified, production ready, and ready for purchase will be a disaster.

Hi Drew. I don't really understand your post. The Engel-Liquidmetal injection molding machine is currently available to licensees. This is a significant undertaking for Engel that is not done lightly.

The second mold was finished some time back, and the parts tested. We've been supporting the customer with some Finite Element Analysis to redesign the part, and a third design was kicked off on Feb 18th.
