May have agreed with you until I tried Roadrunner. Found their contract installers ok to butcher a line in (thankfully I installed dedicated cable lines for TV & I-nut when building). When it goes down-- it really goes down. The time frame it was down was ugly & often. Found when a problem was reported the people knew less than nothing on how to deal with it and preferred to blame the individual systems of customers-- no matter how many from the same side of town. They were not capable of completeing an easy fix that they were informed of in days. DSL has had zero problems. Additionally, at least one system is always set up for dial-up just in case the same stuff happens,,,
