Interesting find, Flipper. I'll throw out numbers for the sake of example, not that I have any idea what the numbers will be.

Let's say NWBO sets the price at $111,000 ($37,000 per year for 3 years). And then the German authorities set the rebate at $75,000 ($25,000 per year), or $36,000 less.

Does NWBO eat the $36,000 difference or do they bill the patient? I hope the reimbursement is high so it's a non-issue.

Also, with the DMC decision coming any day (or week) now, plus all the discussion here about ASCO, I had sort of forgotten about the compassionate use reimbursement - not that I wasn't aware that we haven't heard anything from Europe lately. But this issue in particular could be big.

If the German regulatory body pays anything toward compassionate use, to me it's de facto approval. It would be a huge news. I don't know that the stock price would necessarily take off, but to me it would be very significant.

I think someone had mentioned here once before that the Germans were probably at least going to wait for the DMC recommendation before deciding.
