Stockster5, I'm going into the Scottrade office tomorrow and will ask how much they charge (if anything). I don't think they would charge because the spin off divi shares are not restricted.
I believe they would be like any other company shares that are tradeable, you pay the normal fee for selling or buying.
The reason I believe that is the case is because recently I received two spin offs from MLON (different companies and symbol) that was added to my account and I wasn't charged. These spin off companies can be traded at any time if I want.
In regards to restricted shares, I believe there is a fee and SEC form that has to be filled out at the end of the restriction for the shares to be tradeable. JMO
