Yes, based on the pooled scientific research, meta-analysis, whatever else, Doctors should feel confident that lowering Trigs that are considered HIGH, or over 200mg/dL, will benefit the health risk of their patients. It is better to be on the safe side and reduce these high risk patients than to let it go and allow them to suffer a MACE.

If your patient comes back with persistent HIGH trigs, over 300, would you as a Doctor leave them be or would you try to add a therapy like Vascepa to lower them further? Most would prescribe Vascepa.
