How about this scenario, since IDCC already has the 2G patents, and the engine and transmission for 3G and 4G will be so many years out that I doubt if very many of us will even be around by then, why don't IDCC fire all the engineers but a very few that they can retain to try to verify other outside peoples patents and develop some of their on. IDCC could take options on patents from independent engineers and have their engineers verify the value of the patent or use Co_Ware or other companies who does the verification testing. IDCC could also buy patents from other companies after getting certification of the viability of the patents. IDCC could retain a legal team to get license deals, and pay them a ongoing commission on revenues received after the license agreement but the lawyers would be on comission only. By implementing this strategy IDCC could sell the 2 existing facilities and relocate into a smaller location and reduce expenses about 70 million a year, and still have all the money that was supposed to be coming in coming in.

Now wouldn't that be a way to really get a PS and PE that would knock your socks off, but you know what I bet the management would still want more options. They would say since they was able to reduce expenses this much they should be compensated oh lets say 1/2 of what they saved the company.
