That's the exact problem with Ford, your 84 Bronco died.
If it was a Japanese model i.e. Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Mazda, it would be still running strong and pass any test it was given.
People buy Japanese cares because they are reliable Ford cannot say the same about their vehicles.

It is difficult to believe you've become a moderator on this board the way you act like you're paid to bash this company every freaking day. I've owned two cars since '84, and they're both Fords. I had to give the Bronco II up after 14 years because it wouldn't pass smog, but the '99 Ranger I bought in '98 is doing quite well. In fact, 99 Rangers as a used car in the paper, not so easy to find.
