We're on the beach looking mostly west on the Providenciales island.
It was a pretty quiet place 50 years ago. Club Med built the first large resort here. They bought an incredible bit of beachfront and built a self contained resort, since there was no "infrastructure" at the time. Part of their agreement was to also help fund a modern airport so that Club Med's tourists could get to the island.
Once the airport was built, then the development got going. Too bad we didn't buy up a bunch of beachfront here about 45 years ago!!!
Here's an original haiku that came to me as I broke my fast this AM.
Reggae Music spreads
Like warm peanut butter over
Browned English muffins
