Ramsey: re: Juniper

First, I think the most important aspect of today's news is that - surprise, surprise - the TPM gets openly connected to play an important role in trusted network access control.

Secondly, the network will MOST DEFINITELY consist of platforms, routers, servers etc. with different brands of TPMs. This can - UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER - ever be a network with one brand of TPM. Period! So the interoperability factor on the client, server and router level is of paramount importance. I am convinced that the Juniper solution was developed using the Wave TCG enabled toolkit to provide this very interoperability across the various TPM platforms.

Thirdly, I believe we will see all purveyors of Network Access Control Systems - Microsoft already announced compliance with the TCG for NAC - to leverage Wave's offering. They, including Cisco, can not be successful on the market if their system is not interoperable across the various TPM platforms.

At the very minimum, all network access control systems (TCG, MSFT, Cisco) will need, at the minimum, some components of the EMBASSY Trust Suite installed on the client platforms.

So, like with the use of the KTM ES AD and also the Seagate FDE hard drives - where ALL client platforms need to be loaded with Wave's ETS - Wave is in a dominant position in the market.

The question is maybe not so much about Juniper reselling Wave's ETS....the question is probably more if any PC OEM can afford to not offer Wave's ETS as a standard on their platforms....

It's a great time to be invested in WAVX!
