the funny thing is that many of those now ignoring what you are trying to point out will be the ones caught in this kind of situation or have loved ones in that situation. As long as it isn't them right now, they don't care and cannot empathize... they only want to villianize (as they were taught to do by "compassionate conservatives")

and the robber barrons who are in power will be sipping margarities on their yachts laughing their ass off at the stupidity of the masses
