Let me see if I understand what you're saying. Sincere believers and equally sincere skeptics start out on the same moral footing but whichever group is wrong causes harm to other parties and can thus be judged morally deficient. Is that about it?

Well, I disagree. The difference is in perception and not morality. Let's revisit this topic, say a year from now, and then decide who's perceptive and/or moral or not. :)
