This quote below implies that management is withholding information, but that's simply not true.

"We don't know how cheap or how expensive the financing will be. They have not disclosed the terms."

And the bet that the product launch might move the stock price is NOT "stunningly speculative." It's a visible milestone towards revenue generation and could very well move the stock. It may not happen, but it's harsh to call it "stunningly speculative," and I for one would prefer that management not price a deal until we see what effect this has on the stock.
