I couldn't agree with you more.

"...the medical community is always looking for better cheaper fast ways to diagnose health problems."

First off, PET technology is newer and in several ways superior to SPECT. Secondly, the cardiac imaging industry wants this technology but are unable to get it due to more demand than can meet available supply.

Draximage intends to benefit by focusing on this. They are going thru the hassels of getting a RB-82 generator FDA approved and working with others to get the supply of SR-82 to increase, not just today, but years down the road. I wonder why a global drug manufacturer would be interested in such a project if it was outdated as you and others here imply.

Draximages, Ruby-Fill generator will be a generic drug product here in the USA. But throughout a lot of the rest of the world, they will be the first to market. That certainly doesn't sound like an outdated product.

Another point about cheaper and faster, is that INR(Russia) and the DOE along with other international facilities have worked together to increase the supply of SR-82 more economically and faster. INR holds the rights to that technology and have licensed it to Positron/MIT.

IMO, PET imaging using RB-82 generators is a technology that has been waiting and is ready to take off. Unfortunately we have to wait for Draximage, since Bracco has dropped the ball and hasn't bothered to pick it up.
