I think the AWWA is helpful. It is necessary for the industry to have a standards. One hopes that UGSI exceeds the standard. However, I am uncertain whether this will translate into immediate increase in sales. I could be wrong here. UGSI for years was trying to convince bidding contractors to include the UGSI product in their bid. This took more time than anticipated, but over the last 18-24 months more contractors have been bidding UGSI on the same project. The engineers on the final buyers end is seeing more of UGSI product in the bids and the cost savings that it produces for the ultimate buyer. There seems to be more credibility in the marketplace. The training of a contractor's employees and the education of the product seems to be in a much better situation than when UGSI products were being defamed by open trench contractors especially. In the last few years thousands of miles of pipe have been laid and the proof is in the ground now. The standard is indeed another positive step, but I am unsure of the impact or its significance at this time. Guess we will see.
