Herein lies the problem with Amarin, and not with the FDA, as many Amarin investors believe. We have continually informed our followers that we were bearish on Amarin because of its poor management. Having the SPA agreement revoked shows us that Amarin did not follow the agreement as guided by the FDA, and/or simply did not know how to properly communicate with the organization; not some "conspiracy" enacted upon by the FDA to cheat Amarin on the behalf of "big pharma" to stop the drug from receiving the ANCHOR approval.

I disagree and I will tell you why. It's important to note that Amarin was not notified of any issues regarding the SPA agreement leading up to the AdCom, including the Day 74 letter, which according to the company was clean of any issues. The spa was not rescinded on "communication" issues or any agreements that Amarin had with the FDA. The FDA cited "new science" for its decision to rescind. Of course, they probably didn't expect the uproar that has resulted. Amarin clearly followed the agreements in the SPA and whether or not JZ upset somebody at the FDA with his communication skills does not allow this federal agency to void a contract with a company without merit.
