Yeah Dizz, thank you very much for the level 2 posts, btw! .

I'm agreeing with you and Run for the Roses,by far MOST of the trading is above board. Today's volume made it easy for a 9-to-5 honest broker in a trading firm to swing a little.

There hasn't been a peep out of Stony Brook since the earnings report, and you know, it was a good earnings report. MMs slammed us on a good report, nothing was a surprise from earlier quarted data rolled in to it. Obviously, I believe there was manipulation last quarter. I think now, we're going to be held sideways here, actually think we'll get to the upper teens before the MDA announcement).

Here's some reposts of we had back at the beginning of the last quarter on illegal trading activity. Throwing it out here for discussion, not argument. I do appreciate yours and Roses' data. We have an incompleted post from Cat Tracker here at Post 24342

The Anatomy of a Short Attack Abusive shorting are not random acts of a renegade hedge funds, but rather a coordinated business plan that is carried out by a collusive consortium of hedge funds and prime brokers, with help from their friends at the DTC and major clearinghouses. Potential target companies are identified, analyzed and prioritized. The attack is planned to its most minute detail.
The plan consists of taking a large short position, then crushing the stock price, and, if possible, putting the company into bankruptcy. Bankrupting the company is a short homerun because they never have to buy real shares to cover and they don’t pay taxes on the ill-gotten gain.
When it is time to drive the stock price down, a blitzkrieg is unleashed against the company by a cabal of short hedge funds and prime brokers. The playbook is very similar from attack to attack, and the participating prime brokers and lead shorts are fairly consistent as well...

Here's a clip from a really good article on Penny Sleuth site, written none other than Patrick Cox of the Agora Newsletter

Avoid the Next Short Seller Attack
Sep 9th, 2010 | By Patrick Cox
For the most part, it’s just accepted as a fact of life that emerging small caps with technologies that are not well understood by the public will be targeted by attacks from short sellers. But there’s more to the battle between short sellers and investors than meets the eye......
.......Shorting a stock to intentionally drive its price down, however, is illegal. As a result, people aren’t going to publicly admit that they are trying to manipulate prices. Furthermore, it’s extremely difficult to prove that an individual or individuals has made a series of large shorts to panic stockholders. The SEC simply does not have the resources or focus to detect and punish every such short attack.......
