My brother and sister-in-law lived and worked in the London area for 5 years back in the late 90's. After a year or so of renting, they purchased a flat in the same complex in Putney (across the street from Putney Heath). It was near Wimbledon if memory serves.
Anyway, after my sister-in-law's project ended, they moved back to the US but kept the flat, renting it out for a time. They sold it around 08 and made a huge gain; close to double price paid. And it wasn't cheap when they bought it.
Did the bottom drop out in Britain as it did here and in Ireland?
