Environmental Studies for Grand Canal of Nicaragua

Environmental Resource Management (ERM) and China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) submitted to the Technical Advisory Committee of the Grand Canal, and without allowing access to journalists - the progress of the environmental studies for the construction of the inter-oceanic canal.
They presented "progress in areas of the territory under study and the types of activities in terms of hydrology, soil studies, studies of water quality, flora and fauna," said Kamilo Lara, environmentalist and member of the commission.
For his part, José Adán Aguerri, president of the Superior Council of Private Enterprise (Cosep) and also a member of the commission, confirmed that in mid-December HKND Group will release the final route of the Grand Canal, despite environmental studies concluding in 2014.
