A US company would put together a NI-43-101 "compliant" report in order to get funding from a non US source. I give you that it wont be filed in Canada but aside from that, the main reason for using the NI-43101 format is because that is the way most funding sources want to have the information presented to them. The same information from a JORC report can be turned into an NI43-101 format very easily. Maybe they should say they are using the NI-43-101 format rather than compliant.
