Was just surfing the web and got momentarily excited, " Ex-Im bank approves $61.1 million for export of US made wind turbine generators to Costa Rica" released on nov. 26th 2013. This was a direct loan to Inversiones Eolicas de Orosi SA, a subsidiary of the wind generation co. Globeleq Mesoamerica Energy for the purchase of wind turbine generators manufactured by Gamesa in PA. This authorization represents Ex-Im Bank's 1 st wind transaction in Costa Rica and the 4 th utility-scale wind project overall.
Wish we had been the 1st one but probably be the 2nd to be authorized. It seems that this wind farm has been in operation for the last 12 years through a PPA for Plantas Eolicas with ICE.
Been very busy with work and Christmas but have been doing a lot of research and will post more as time allows.
Will also be emailing the CEO with a list of questions I have come up with as well and will post as time allows.
