no need, cancelled certs require a stock or a bond power as well as a stop release in order to be converted from physical cert to street name where they can be traded on the open market.

The stop release comes from the TA, if the Cert has been cancelled and is deemed forfeit ... the TA wont issue a stop release because the certs are toilet paper or kindling.

Thats an easy one to solve, no need to call out the hounds.
