You are right. If one has a longer term hold view...everything else is "smoke". But considering what news may come out any day..and how it could pop a penny stock...the risk to shorts is very severe.
Then they'll try and keep trading hoping for down turns...I think that happened with the 300% pop in July...some got caught because it was totally unexpected, and they have been trying to regain lost funds ever since.
