That's an interesting view on the article but I'm not sure it's accurate.

"The event has been plagued by budgeting problems. The hosting organizations for the previous four Gay Games filed for bankruptcy after the event was over, Webster said."
Seems to me that it's a bad sign that all previous events have had budget problems and the orgs involved file for bankruptcy. I do not see where the Chicago org is doing that.
