Correct me if I'm wrong, but these 3D patents should belong to CIP. What strikes me about these patents is their potential for non-CE use. Essentially Apple is developing a LiquidMetal 3-D process that could be used by VPC/Engel to manufacture non-CE products. This seems to me to be a much larger advancement than any process to manufacture iPad cases, etc. This could be the game changer. I am quite frankly surprised that Apple would contriube this non-CE process to LiquidMetal/CIP. Apple must have much bigger plans in mind for LiquidMetal than we have anticipated. For these patents have as much potential to make Apple money outside of the CE arena as it does within the CE arena. If not more money. Apple will most assuredly protect these valuable patents in CIP.
