The end that people seek is to be intoxicated with friends. The means to do so currently is alcohol. Ths would change the means. the pill would achive the same ends, but in a healthier way. People could put the pill into their favorite beverage. I dont think you quite understand the concept....

Safer cigarette to get a nicotine craving. Safer beverage to get a intoxication craving. SAME LEAGUE.

And yes this would be GREAT for those with severe alcoholism.
