Gonna be real interesting work peeling back the covers on this new Motorola AXPT scheme. Have to wonder which way they went. Is what they call "AXPT" just another name for IDCC's "WTDD", or.... another name for IDCC's mobile WLAN contributions in 802.16e/k/n (whatever?) level?
Not expecting to find anything else worth worrying about because I think IDCC engineers were there first on W-CDMA "hotspots" and that they had plenty of time to stake out the "high ground" solutions. If that assumption is correct(?), Motorola is either beating on IDCC's drum like it's their own one mo time, hawking some "swamp land" crappola, or hearlding a technical breakthru that IDCC's engineers did not see.
Let's hope they find out that it's not for nuttin' this time!
