Apology accepted : ) But I still am trying to find out what trump card I have at my disposal (if any) to mention to Scottrade and avoid ANY fees in closing my account with all these dead stocks.

I am not even attempting to write them off on my taxes as losses which I legally can do, because my accountant would probably charge me $ to do so.

And after closing my account I don't want Scottrade to ping my FICO score in any way or to contact a collection agency because of these penny stock carcasses. I will not pay $7 per to have them removed. It ain't going to happen.
