My observation is that Glenn does not report incremental advances but only true "material" activity--sales, teaming agreements and other clear, maybe even legal and verifiable, milestones. He is, after all, IMO a no-nonsense guy. That is probably best given WSGI's legacy. I think that is why news comes out in bursts IMO. You have to hit triggers IMO that reach the level that he and Barbara feel appropriate.

I am not allowed to say where the Argus is or, if it were to travel somewhere, where it traveled and what it did. And, really, apart from a SBIR or STTR or sales of course, what does it matter how the research and development advances? If there isn't money in it I don't think it would affect SP. I don't think additional testing anywhere is news for the Argus to SHs. Maybe a demo for members of Congress but, short of that, I think we won't hear much.

Now even in a situation like I just described you stumble over milestones that can't be ignored--you sign a research agreement with an Air Force lab or something like that. That, by definition, is material and would be reported even if there were half a dozen more significant things that happen that don't reach that level.

The Argus us one of the few remaining LTA UAV's within the realm observation of the DoD. From a competitive advantage standpoint, it is probably NOT wise to give too much detail about research initiatives or directions. We are temporarily in a cutting edge position (probably bleeding edge is what you feel) and what we really need to do IMO is capitalize on it if at all possible.

Wish I could tell you my personal experience with the Argus so far but I don't think I can. Whatever it has been has been quite stimulating and positive. Let's hit a couple required reporting triggers and then we can talk more maybe. But I only expect "popcorn" news about anything WSGI does and not newsie, chatty activity updates. Maybe in another season for WSGI but right now it is apparently time to produce and not promote I guess. IMO Glenn has great sense about this stuff. JMO

SP sux today but IMO there are other explanations than the news cycle. If it helps, when there is a news drought Glenn does regularly check with us on various sales or development initiatives that might hit that newsworthy or substance level. But I have never seen him release the news prematurely. Must take discipline in times like this IMO. Best to you and yours, IJO
