Does chemo interfere with NWBO therapies?

One might worry that the FDA requirement that experimental / unapproved therapies such as those developed by NWBO be attempted only on patients undergoing existing approved therapy, such as chemo, might mean results without the chemo would not be as good. I think the contrary is more likely. That chemo, which can be immunosuppressive could interfere with NWBO therapies. It could be that once they have the go-ahead to test without chemo that the percentages will go up. Perhaps patients that refuse to go through chemo or other approved therapies should be candidates for alternative treatments such as those offered by NWBO.

There are other possibilities for coordinated therapies to be tested. I would imagine one would be: 1) Withdraw needed cells from patient. 2) while processing those cells put the patient briefly on chemo. 3) Stop chemo, and once cleared from the system administer the NWBO immunotherapy.

But what do I know.
